Common Questions Before Your First Visit:
-
This is such a common question that we have an entire page dedicated to what the first visit looks like! Click Your First Visit to check it out!
-
You can expect your first visit to take approximately 60 minutes. If you’re coming with other loved ones who are also getting assessments done, please allow for longer. To save some time, we highly encourage you to complete your paperwork online in advance. The second visit is your New Practice Member Orientation visit. This visit is where we will go through any x-rays that were taken, how we adjust, our recommendations for care, and all finances with you. This second visit typically takes around 45 minutes. After the first two visits, a typical visit is around 15-20 minutes.
-
We typically don’t adjust until your second visit after we’ve fully analyzed your case history, neurological assessments, and x-ray imaging (if needed). We do not want to guess with your health. Similar to buying a house, you would prefer to have all the necessary inspections before making the final decision. The only exception is if the doctors view your case and your assessments and deem it necessary for an adjustment to happen on day one.
-
Yes! The INSiGHT assessments let us know exactly what the state of your nervous system is in that moment. It is great when you’ve been under care before but we still need to know where you are so we can give you the best care possible! We also use these neurological assessments as a metric to track progress while you are under our care, so we first need to get a baseline.
-
Maybe! We have a digital x-ray suite on site to take them as needed. If the doctors determine that x-rays are necessary before your adjustment, yes. However, this is always on a case-by-case basis and is determined by viewing your specific case history as well as your neurological assessments. We always want to provide you with the best care possible and x-rays may be a vital role in that.
-
Since chiropractic care in our office is personalized to your specific health needs, it’s difficult to determine cost before a member of our team can evaluate your situation. After you complete your initial consultation and INSiGHT assessments, we’ll have a clearer picture of how to best support your healing journey. At your second visit, you’ll receive your personalized care plan, the care investment, and have all your questions answered.
-
Yes, we are in network and accept Medicare, Blue Cross, Cigna, and United Health Care. During your first visit we will complete a complimentary eligibility and benefits check to let you know exactly what insurance participation will look like for your care. Please come prepared with your photo ID and insurance card if you would prefer to utilize any available insurance benefits for care in our office.
In general, insurance companies are not focused on any preventative or wellness services. To use their exact terms, they will not cover anything that is, “maintenance, wellness, or enhancing quality of life.” Insurance coverage of chiropractic care is designed to help you get out of pain and only get you back to where you were pre-injury.
In our office, we focus on addressing the underlying causes of your symptoms and health concerns. The great news is that by not having to deal with much insurance, office costs are kept down, so we can offer affordable care for the entire family.
If your care isn’t covered, we will gladly provide you with the necessary documentation to get reimbursed if you’re willing to file yourself. We accept HSA and FSA forms of payment and always welcome open and honest conversations about finances. We are here to serve you and will do all that we can to help.
Lastly, we never want insurance to be a reason someone cannot receive chiropractic care. We do not want the insurance companies to dictate your care as they do not know your specific case and what your health actually needs. This is why we offer cash rates at an affordable price so we can get you the care you deserve, regardless of any insurance participation.

Our youngest patient got adjusted at 45 minutes old! We recommend all children to get checked by us, or by another neurologically based chiropractor. The reason for this is because while in the womb, kids can feel and sense everything and their nervous system can develop already operating in its stressed out mode. When it is in the stress mode, it means it is constantly in protection mode. Our bodies are not designed to be in that mode for long periods of time and we also can’t be in protection mode and growth mode at the same time. By getting your child checked for subluxation in our office, we will assess their nervous system to see where the interferences may be, so we can allow their body to be in growth mode and to heal better moving forward.
-
Simply put, chiropractic adjustments promote nervous system balance and enhance overall health and well-being. Since the nervous system controls and coordinates every other system of the body, we often see improvements in immune function, digestion, spinal posture, sleep, mood/behavior, and cognitive abilities. Proper brain and nerve function improves a child’s ability to learn, concentrate, and it encourages good neural plasticity for development. Many of the kids in our office have been under care since an early age and are being checked for subluxation on a proactive or wellness model.
-
One of the first causes of stress on our nervous system is from trauma during birth. These effects may not show up right away but taking care of that stress early can help prevent issues from coming up later as well as allowing your child to grow up as healthy and vibrant as possible. At 30 weeks, the sympathetic portion of the autonomic nervous system is fully developed. The parasympathetic portion, which regulates the sympathetic system, only develops postnatally. This means that the sympathetic system is always on at birth and the brakes can only be applied once the parasympathetic system is fully developed. We often hear from parents that they have been told that their child will “grow out of it”. We find quite the opposite to be true; kids grow into more health issues the longer and deeper subluxation has been there, even present before the symptoms arise.
-
Our nervous system centered care focuses on restoring and maintaining optimal communication between the brain and the body. When that happens, your child’s nervous system is able to function as it was designed by God. Stresses in life affect how your child develops and experiences life. We not only want to help increase their quality of life but more importantly help prepare them to handle future life stresses/challenges that are to come as they get older. As a result, many of our patients receiving care experience a variety of health improvements. We will always start with objective neurological assessments to know what we need to do in order to best help you and your child!
-
Not at all! Our docs are well versed in adjusting children wherever they’re comfortable here in the office! Sometimes it is under the table, in our kids area, or in mom or dad’s lap! The goal is to eventually get them comfortable enough to lay down but we always meet each child at their comfort level. Click to learn more about pediatric care in our office.
General Questions About Chiropractic:
-
Yes! We specialize in prenatal and pediatrics, but we welcome anyone into our doors! We especially love serving whole families together!
-
No, we do not allow drop in visits. Everyone in our office is following a care plan of some sort. The reason for that is simply, specific plans get results. We see a lot of parallels between chiropractic and orthodontics. If you wanted to invest in braces but then showed up when you felt like it, the results would take exponentially more time and you wouldn’t be very happy with the results. We know that it takes consistency and time to obtain and maintain health.
-
You are never required to continue coming into us or to see any other chiropractor forever. However, many of the people who start care decide to continue for a variety of reasons. One main reason is that we know the stresses of life won’t stop. Continual chiropractic care helps our body manage stress. Also, just like going to the gym, you can do all of the hard work to get into shape but if you don’t continue with maintenance workouts, your health will slide back to where it was before. All good aspects of health take time and consistency.
-
Yes! It’s completely non-surgical, non-invasive, and drug-free. It’s among one of the safest health care practices as it’s designed to clear the path of communication in the nervous system so the body can heal and maintain optimal health naturally.

We get this question often in our office as these adjustment tools look very similar on the outside. The differences come from how they function. The most obvious difference is the Activator has variable amounts of force depending on how hard the chiropractor pushes the instrument down. The Integrator on the other hand provides a quick reproducible amount of force every time it reaches the predetermined amount of pressure for it to discharge. The Integrator has been tailor-made to deliver the perfect amount of energy to help normalize nerve function with a specific frequency. Utilizing the Integrator in our office enables all of our doctors to provide gentle, specific, and reproducible adjustments. Click to learn more about our techniques.
