Plant the Right Seeds

Many people want the 90 foot bamboo tree without the five year process it takes to grow. Our society is driven on instant gratification instead of getting our hands dirty in the soil and planting the seed of the Chinese bamboo tree.

During the first four years, all the growth of a bamboo tree is underground in a massive, fibrous root structure that spreads deep and wide below the surface. Nothing happens above the surface except for a tiny shoot coming out of the bulb. This dense root structure is building a strong foundation in preparation for the rapid growth that it will experience. Without that process there won’t be a solid foundation and it could never sustain the massive growth that occurs in the fifth year when it shoots up over 90 feet tall in six weeks. So, we must continue to water it and water it and water it until we see the result of our labor. Don’t get discouraged if things take time; be patient.

Health often works the same way. As adults we are guilty of waiting until the problem or symptom gets to be unbearable and then we expect it to go away over night. Healing takes time and repetition. Just because we aren’t seeing the results on the surface in six weeks doesn’t mean healing isn’t happening underneath. Neurologically based chiropractors use state of the art technology to assess the state of the underlying function of the nervous system in order to get to the root cause (pun intended). These assessments help guide the chiropractors recommendations to prepare for the rapid growth that will happen when the solid foundation has been built.

The first several years of life are the most crucial for development. All the foundational conditioning is pretty much done by the age of seven. We all want the best for our children and the best part is we get to watch all the hard work we’ve put into nurturing them while watching the roots holding firm and grounding them as they sway and bend in the wind and adapt to the stress of the world and their environment.

Teaching our children that their bodies are smart and intelligent is important. So is laying the proper root foundation for your family.

ARE YOU USING THE RIGHT FUEL?

Most of us would admit we are harder on ourselves than we are on others. One of the most powerful forces we will face in life is the voice of discouragement. We must always keep up our guard and be fueling our heart with encouragement.

We fuel our heart with what we watch, read, listen to, surround ourselves with, how we talk to ourselves, and what we visualize.

You wouldn’t put water in the gas tank of a Lamborghini because it will ruin the engine but that’s exactly what people do with their hearts, minds, and bodies.

While nutrition provides the foundation for optimal bodily functions, chiropractic care helps remove interference in the nervous system, allowing the body to better absorb and utilize nutrients from the food we eat.

When the nervous system is free from interference, it can effectively regulate hormone production, metabolism, and energy utilization.

How are you fueling your heart and body?
